What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has noticed that the brake fluid in the system is being used up too quickly. This is most often caused by air in the brake lines or a leak, and the braking system should be checked.
Possible causes
- Air bubbles in the brake line
- Leak of brake fluid
What you can do
- 1Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and whether it falls over time
- 2Look for visible leaks at the brake lines, calipers and connections
- 3Have a workshop look for air in the brake lines, repair the leak and bleed the system if needed
- 4The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake fluid or brake lines yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
