Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has found that the calibration of the brake energy recovery system is missing or was not carried out correctly. The system includes several brake sensors, the pump and valves, and it must be calibrated to work properly.
Possible causes
- Calibration not carried out correctly
- Calibration missing
What you can do
- 1Clear the codes in the brake control module and road test the car to see whether they return
- 2Have a workshop carry out the calibration of the brake energy recovery system with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault returns, the brake control module needs replacing by a workshop, and the workshop must then recalibrate the acceleration sensor and the internal sensors
- 4The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the calibration or the braking system yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- ABS does not work or activates suddenly
- Anti-spin function does not work
- Hill descent assist does not work
- Hill start assist does not work
