Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has compared the signals from the vacuum pressure sensor and found that they do not agree. The fault most often lies in the sensor, its connector or its wiring.
Possible causes
- Damaged wiring to the vacuum pressure sensor
- Damaged connector to the vacuum pressure sensor
- Damaged vacuum pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector at the vacuum pressure sensor and its wiring for damage and oxidation
- 3Have a workshop replace the vacuum pressure sensor if the fault remains
- 4The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake booster or sensor yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
