BCM-C101A64 - Vacuum Pressure Sensor. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal plausibility failure
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)

Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) expects the vacuum pressure to change when the brakes are used, but the signal from the vacuum pressure sensor does not change as expected. The fault is caused by a short between the signals from the vacuum and air pressure sensors.
Possible causes
- The vacuum and air pressure sensor signals are shorted together
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector and wiring to the vacuum pressure sensor for damage
- 3Have a workshop replace the vacuum pressure sensor if the fault remains
- 4The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake booster or sensor yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
