BCM-C101B1C - Vacuum Pressure Sensor Circuit B. General Electrical Failures. Circuit voltage out of range
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has found that the voltage in circuit B of the vacuum pressure sensor is outside the permitted range. This points to damage in the wiring or the sensor.
Possible causes
- Damaged wiring to the vacuum pressure sensor
- Damaged vacuum pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Look for damage in the wiring to the vacuum pressure sensor
- 3Have a workshop replace the vacuum pressure sensor if it is damaged
- 4The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake booster or sensor yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
