Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has measured the pressure in the primary and secondary circuits and compared the two. The primary circuit reads lower pressure than the secondary one. The fault most often comes from a leak or damage in the brake pipes, and the braking system should be checked.
Possible causes
- Leak in the hydraulic system
- Damage in the hydraulic system
- Damaged pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the brake pipes and joints running to the module for any damage
- 3Look for leaks and check the brake fluid level
- 4Check the pressure in the circuits with diagnostic equipment and replace any damaged sensor or part
- 5The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake pipes or the braking system yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- Hill descent assist does not work
- Hill start assist does not work
- Anti-spin function does not work
- ABS does not work or activates suddenly
