1 modelXC90 (2003–)
What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) has found that the wheel alignment or steering alignment is incorrect. The code only applies to cars with DSTC, the stability system, and most often points to the steering angle sensor or the alignment. The stability systems may therefore be switched off.

What you can do
- 1Check whether the car has recently had a wheel alignment or work on the steering, as incorrect alignment often causes this code
- 2Read the codes in the steering angle sensor and troubleshoot them with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the steering angle sensor is in order, have a workshop check the wheel alignment
- 4The brake and stability systems are safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the module and the sensor
