BCM-C11081C
VOLVO
BCM-C11081C - Pedal Sensor(s) Supply Voltage. General Electrical Failures. Circuit voltage out of range
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) has registered that the voltage to the brake pressure and pedal position sensors is wrong, and that the fault is caused by a wire shorted to supply voltage or to ground. The stability systems are then switched off. The fault can only be detected once the test has started and the conditions are met.
Possible causes
- Wire shorted to supply voltage
- Wire shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Where possible, check that the relevant functions work using the switches, controls and a road test
- 3Check the wiring to the sensors for chafing and short circuits
- 4Read the codes with diagnostic equipment and correct the fault in the circuit before replacing any component
- 5The brake system is safety-critical, so avoid driving with reduced braking function and have a workshop repair the fault
Symptoms you may notice3
- Traction control and anti-skid warning lamps show a fault
- Traction control does not work
- Stability function does not work
What the fault can affect2
- Traction control and stability control are switched off
- Dynamic stability control (AYC) is disabled
