BCM-C113364 - Left Front Brake Pressure Sensor. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal plausibility failure
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The two signals from the brake pressure sensor at the front left wheel do not agree with each other. The pressure measured in one signal differs from the combined pressure and temperature signal. This indicates that the sensor or the brake control module is faulty.
Possible causes
- Damaged front left brake pressure sensor
- Internal fault in the brake control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and have a workshop with diagnostic equipment establish which part is at fault
- 2Replace the brake control module if the fault remains, bearing in mind that the new one must be calibrated
- 3After the replacement the internal sensors must be calibrated, as the acceleration sensor (IMU) also needs it
- 4Switch the ignition on again and choose to continue the calibration when the system asks
- 5The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out all work on the sensor and the module
Symptoms you may notice4
- Hill descent assist does not work
- Front monitoring and adaptive cruise control do not work
- Hill start assist does not work
- Traction control does not work
