BCM-C113528 - Left Rear Brake Pressure Sensor. General Signal Failures. Signal bias level out of range / zero adjustment failure
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The brake pressure sensor at the rear left wheel sends two output signals to the brake control module: one for pressure and one combined signal for pressure and temperature in the brake fluid. The code is set when one of the output signals is outside the permitted range, so the pressure in that circuit cannot be trusted.
Possible causes
- Damaged rear left brake pressure sensor
- Internal fault in the brake control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and have a workshop with diagnostic equipment establish which part is at fault
- 2Replace the brake control module if the fault remains, bearing in mind that the new one must be calibrated
- 3After the replacement the internal sensors must be calibrated, as the acceleration sensor (IMU) also needs it
- 4Switch the ignition on again and choose to continue the calibration when the system asks
- 5The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out all work on the sensor and the module
Symptoms you may notice4
- Hill descent assist does not work
- Front monitoring and adaptive cruise control do not work
- Hill start assist does not work
- Traction control does not work
