VOLVO
BCM-C1A9928 - Pressure Sensor. General Signal Failures. Signal bias level out of range / zero adjustment failure
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The BCM reads the pressure at the valve in the shut-off unit. The code is set when the pressure does not drop even though the valve has been opened. This can be caused by the sensor, the valve being incorrectly closed, or the brake pedal angle sensor. The fault normally gives no noticeable symptoms.
Possible causes
- Shut-off unit pressure sensor gives an incorrect signal
- Shut-off unit valve incorrectly closed
- Brake pedal angle sensor gives an incorrect signal
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition on and check the wiring to the brake pedal angle sensor, the shut-off unit pressure sensor and the valve
- 2Correct any damage in the wiring and clear the code
- 3If the fault remains after the repair, a workshop needs to replace the brake pedal
- 4The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out all work on the pedal and the shut-off unit
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms
