What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) receives no communication from the crash speed module (CVM). The fault may come from interference or intermittent breaks on the CAN network, or from a break or loose contact in the wiring between the BCM and the CVM. The front monitoring function may then not work.
Possible causes
- Interference or intermittent breaks on the CAN network
- Break or loose contact in the wiring between the brake control module and the crash speed module
- Fault in the module that sends the signal
What you can do
- 1Read codes in the central electronic module and other affected modules, and correct them first
- 2If no codes are stored, check the wiring and connectors on the CAN network between the BCM and the crash speed module
- 3Check that the wiring is not routed close to sources of interference, such as mobile phones
- 4Do not replace the brake control module for this code, as the fault does not lie in it
- 5The collision and brake systems are safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out all work on the wiring and the modules
Symptoms you may notice1
- Front monitoring and active safety do not work
