What does this fault code mean?
The steering angle sensor control module (SAS) reports that its information is incorrect, and the brake control module (BCM) has received that signal. The code is set when the signal indicates a fault in the SAS information, and it can only be detected once the test has started. The fault lies in the steering angle sensor control module.
Possible causes
- Fault in the steering angle sensor control module (SAS)
What you can do
- 1Read codes in the steering angle sensor module and troubleshoot them according to the system information
- 2Do not replace the brake control module for this code, as the fault lies in the steering angle sensor
- 3Clear the code only once the fault in the steering angle sensor has been corrected, and check that it does not return
- 4The brake and stability systems are safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the steering angle sensor and the brake control module
Symptoms you may notice5
- Traction and anti-skid warning lamp lit
- Stability function does not work
- Traction control does not work
- Anti-skid function does not work
- Adaptive cruise control does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Dynamic stability control (AYC) is disabled
