What does this fault code mean?
The crash speed module (CVM) sends information that the brake control module (BCM) uses in several brake functions. If the checksum of that data is wrong and the value is not what is expected, the code is set. The fault is caused by the CVM and not by the brake module.
Possible causes
- Fault in the crash speed module (CVM)
What you can do
- 1Read codes in the crash speed module and troubleshoot them first
- 2Do not replace the brake control module for this code, as the fault lies in the crash speed module
- 3Check that the code does not return after a road test
- 4The collision and brake systems are safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the crash speed module and the brake control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Front monitoring and active safety do not work
