What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) continuously receives the information it needs from the airbag system control module over CAN and checks the communication. The code is set when the wrong airbag system unit is fitted in the car. It most often results from an installation fault at the accelerometer (IMU) unit.

- Installation fault at the accelerometer (IMU) unit
What you can do
- 1Check that the correct variant of airbag system control module is fitted in the car
- 2If the wrong variant is fitted, have a workshop replace the airbag system control module
- 3The airbag and brake systems are safety-critical, so do not work on them yourself and have a workshop carry out all work
