What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) receives requests to apply the brakes from the front monitoring module, the crash speed module or the parking brake module. The code is set when the braking that really happens differs from what was asked for. It can only be detected while driving with a brake request, and the fault normally lies in the module that requests braking.

What you can do
- 1Read codes in the front monitoring module and troubleshoot them first
- 2If the fault remains after that, have a workshop check the brake control module, as it may be damaged
- 3Road test the car and check that the brakes respond correctly to a braking request
- 4The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out all work on the brake control module and the braking system
