What does this fault code mean?
When adaptive cruise control is active, the function may request a gentle braking action from the brake control module, and the module checks that the engine management has registered the driver braking. The code is set when cruise control has requested gentle braking even though the speed was above the limit. The fault points to another module.
Possible causes
- Fault in the engine control module (ECM)
- Fault in the front monitoring module (FSM)
What you can do
- 1Read codes in the engine control module and in the front monitoring module and troubleshoot them first
- 2This code can only be cleared once the root fault has been corrected and its own code has been cleared
- 3Check that cruise control works normally after a road test
- 4The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the engine management and the brake control module
