BCM-U300046
VOLVO
BCM-U300046 - Control Module. System Internal Failures. Calibration / parameter memory failure
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
8 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
Wheel tyre pressure is estimated mostly from wheel speed sensor data inside the BCM. The code is set when the checksum of the calibration area, after the data has been stored, does not match the calculated value. The indirect tyre pressure monitoring is then switched off.
Possible causes
- Software fault in the brake control module
- Internal fault in the brake control module
What you can do
- 1Replace the brake control module if the fault remains after the code has been cleared
- 2After replacement the new module must be configured and calibrated by a workshop
- 3The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out the replacement and check the function
Symptoms you may notice2
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- The tyre pressure monitoring indication shows a fault or no indication
What the fault can affect1
- Indirect tyre pressure monitoring (iTPMS) is switched off
