BECM-C105F00 - Hybrid/EV Battery Main ELAC Fuse Blown. General Failure Information. No sub type information
System
Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The BECM has found that the voltage in the high voltage circuit to the electric air conditioning compressor (ACCM) is too low, even though the contactors for the circuit are closed. The code is stored when a fuse inside the battery has blown, due to a short circuit in the circuit to the compressor.
Possible causes
- A different control module on the same high voltage circuit reports a fault
- Short circuit in plugs or HV cabling between battery and compressor
- The Air Conditioning Compressor Module (ACCM) is damaged
- Blown fuse inside the high voltage battery
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2First read the fault codes in the unit the circuit runs to, as they may show why the circuit was short-circuited
- 3Have a workshop check visible damage to the high voltage cables between the battery and the unit
- 4Has anything recently been done to the unit or to the high voltage cables?
- 5Have a workshop test the plugs and HV cabling for a short circuit, and remedy as needed
- 6The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice3
- Red warning symbol and message in the display
- The charging warning comes on or behaves abnormally
- Low voltage in the battery or a dead battery
