BECM-C106900 - Hybrid/EV Battery Link Voltage Rationality Check. General Failure Information. No sub type information
System
Battery Energy Control Module (BECM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The BECM compares the voltage in the high voltage system with the values reported over CAN by the DC/DC converter and the electric rear axle. If the values do not match, the code is set. The cause is usually a fault in another control module, which should be remedied first.
Possible causes
- Consequential fault to a fault in the DC/DC converter (DCDC)
- Consequential fault to a fault in the electric rear axle inverter (IEM)
- Consequential fault to another fault in the battery energy control module (BECM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2First remedy any faults in the DC/DC converter and the electric rear axle, then clear this code if it remains
- 3Have a workshop check that the connectors in the high voltage system are secure and not damaged
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
