Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The high voltage battery gets wake-up commands over dedicated cables from the engine control module (ECM) via relays. The code is set when the CPSR signal, which relates to charging, is too low for the battery energy control module (BECM). The fault may be caused by a fault in the central electronic module (CEM) or by poor connections.
Possible causes
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM)
- Poor contact or oxidation in the connectors
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) and remedy any battery related faults first
- 2Have a workshop check that the connectors in the signal circuit are secure and free from corrosion
- 3Have a workshop check the CPSR signal cable to the battery energy control module for an open circuit
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice4
- Red warning symbol and message in the display
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
- The charging warning comes on or behaves abnormally
- Low voltage in the battery or a dead battery
What the fault can affect1
- Electric propulsion is not possible
