Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
Before a high voltage battery can be put into use, its insulation must be measured, and the BECM must be programmed after an approved measurement. The code is set when an attempt has been made to activate a battery that is not yet approved and has not had new software loaded.
Possible causes
- Insulation measurement and related BECM programming have not been done
What you can do
- 1This code is a workshop task, since the insulation measurement needs diagnostic equipment
- 2Have a workshop carry out the insulation measurement and the programming of the BECM before the battery is used
- 3The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice4
- Red warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery stops or works poorly
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
- The combustion engine runs more often than normal in HYBRID mode
What the fault can affect2
- The high voltage battery cannot be charged
- Electric propulsion is not possible
