What does this fault code mean?
The BECM monitors the contactors of the high voltage battery and how they are controlled. The code is stored when the control of the positive-side contactor in high voltage circuit A gives unexpected current and voltage values and the control signal is at a low level. The fault may be caused by a damaged high voltage battery.
Possible causes
- The high voltage battery is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Check that the car's ordinary battery is charged and in good condition
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the contactors and the high voltage battery
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
