Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The signal from temperature sensor E in the high voltage battery is too high. The code may indicate that the battery has been exposed to very cold conditions during operation, which may have shortened its life. If matching codes are stored for other battery modules, cold is probably the cause.
Possible causes
- The battery has been exposed to very low temperature during operation, which may have shortened its life
- The high voltage battery is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2If matching codes are stored for other battery modules, no further action is probably needed
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the battery if the fault remains
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice1
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
