Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
An internal sensor measures the coolant temperature in the battery. The code is set when the signal from sensor A in the cooling system is too low. The cause may be a damaged high voltage battery.
Possible causes
- The high voltage battery is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Make sure the coolant level in the battery cooling loop is high enough and top up if needed
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the coolant temperature sensor
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
