Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
Once the contactors close, voltage in the HV system should climb. The code is set when that climb in circuit A is too slow, which may be caused by an open circuit in the high voltage cable in the circuit.
Possible causes
- The high voltage cable in the circuit has an open circuit
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check visible damage to the high voltage cable sheathing, such as chafing or pinch marks
- 3Have a workshop check the high voltage cable in the circuit for an open circuit
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice4
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery stops or works poorly, especially while driving
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
- Low voltage in the battery or a dead battery
What the fault can affect3
- Charging with the combustion engine is not possible
- Charging through brake energy recovery is not possible
- Electric propulsion is not possible
