Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
Once the contactors close, voltage in the HV system should climb. The code is set when that climb in circuit B is too slow, which may be due to incorrect charging with an external cable, a fault in the on-board charger (OBC), or an open circuit in the high voltage cable.
Possible causes
- Incorrect charging from an external charging cable
- The fault may lie in the on-board charger (OBC)
- The high voltage cable in the circuit has an open circuit
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Check that the charging cable is firmly connected at both the car and the outlet and that charging starts
- 3Have a workshop read the fault codes in the on-board charger (OBC) and remedy any faults found
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
Symptoms you may notice4
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging from the external cable does not happen
- The battery may be discharged or charge poorly
- The charging warning comes on or behaves abnormally
What the fault can affect1
- Charging from an external cable does not work
