What does this fault code mean?
The control module monitors communication on both HS-CAN and Sensor-CAN. The code is set when communication on Sensor-CAN is faulty, which may be due to connection problems or damaged wires.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Open circuit on one of the CAN wires
- A CAN wire is short-circuited to ground
- A CAN wire is short-circuited to voltage
- The CAN wires are short-circuited to each other
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the Sensor-CAN connectors and wires for damage
- 3The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
