What does this fault code mean?
The control module runs internal checks continuously, and one of them shows faulty behaviour (microprocessor (safety) fault). The fault may come from faulty software in the control module or from damage to the high voltage battery.
Possible causes
- The software in the control module is faulty
- The high voltage battery is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check that the control module has the latest software and download it if needed
- 3If that does not solve the problem, the high voltage battery may need replacing, which a workshop will decide
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
