What does this fault code mean?
A function button on the climate panel has been pressed in and active for too long without a break. The fault is probably because a switch was held on for too long during individual driving cycles. The button's function is disconnected while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Function button stuck in the pressed position
- Involuntary activation of the function button
- Defective function button
What you can do
- 1Check by hand that none of the climate control buttons is stuck or locked in the pressed position
- 2Check that the functions controlled from the climate control work and that the button lights come on and go out when pressed
- 3Some functions have their own limits: folding head restraints pause after several quick presses, and rear A/C only works with the engine running
- 4Remedy anything found and clear the fault code
- 5If a button keeps sticking, have a workshop check the button and its connector
- 6If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the button status in live data while you press and release it
