What does this fault code mean?
The signal on the communication wire from the climate control module to the seat heating module for the right front seat is too high. The fault is logged as intermittent, meaning it has occurred but is not present now. It is probably because the signal wire briefly touched live voltage, or because of a temporary disturbance in the module.
Possible causes
- Signal wire shorted to live voltage
- Open circuit in the power wire to the seat heating module
- Defective seat heating module
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and test drive. Check whether the seat heater works and whether the fault code comes back
- 2Check the seat heater fuse and the connectors at the seat heating module for loose contacts and corrosion
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check the signal wire for a short to live voltage
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the seat heater from the activation function and check that the seat gets warm
Symptoms you may notice1
- The front seat heating does not work
