What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module has registered that the supply voltage to the recirculation damper motor is too low. The motor may then be unable to move the flap properly, and the recirculation function may work poorly. The cause may be a short to ground in the supply or a defective motor.
Possible causes
- The supply cable to the recirculation motor, negative side, is short-circuited to ground
- Defective damper motor
What you can do
- 1Check the climate control fuse and that the recirculation motor connector is tight
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the negative cable to the recirculation motor has no contact with ground (the body)
- 3If the cable is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop try a new damper motor and calibrate the end positions
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate recirculation and follow the damper motor position in live data. The position should switch between both end positions
- 5Clear the code and check that recirculation works after the work
Symptoms you may notice1
- The airflow does not work as it should
