What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) compares the components connected to its two LIN buses with the car configuration, and they do not match. This means a control module or sensor is missing or incorrectly installed. If something has recently been replaced or fitted nearby, for example in the instrument panel, that is a good first thing to check.
Possible causes
- A control module or sensor on the climate control LIN buses is missing
- A control module or sensor is incorrectly installed or connected
What you can do
- 1Check that all control modules and sensors belonging to the climate control are connected, for example the seat heating, the air quality sensor and the damper motors
- 2Check that the connectors are firmly seated on the right component, especially if something has recently been replaced or fitted
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read which units respond on the climate control LIN buses in live data and compare the list with the car configuration
- 4Clear the code and check whether it returns after the connectors have been checked
- 5Have a workshop carry out calibration and identification of any faulty components, as this requires diagnostic equipment

- Misting on the windows and/or the outside mirrors
- The airflow does not work as it should
- The cabin temperature does not match the selected setting
- No recirculation of the air
- Park assist and the blind spot information system (BLIS) do not work
