What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module has found an internal fault in the damper motor for air distribution. The flap does not reach the position the module requests, which can send the air to the wrong place in the car. The ventilation blower may be affected by the fault too.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the air distribution damper motor module (DMM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the climate control fuses are intact and that the battery has enough charge
- 2Switch between the air modes on the panel one at a time and check whether the blower still responds
- 3Clear the code and test drive the car to see whether the fault returns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: follow the air distribution flap position in live data while you switch between air modes. The position should follow the selection
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check and, if needed, replace the air distribution damper motor and calibrate it
