VOLVO
CCM-007C - Evaporator temperature sensor, ECC, MCC. Signal too low. Intermittent fault
System
Climate Control Module (CCM)

Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module has received a signal that is too low from the evaporator temperature sensor, which measures the temperature of the A/C system's evaporator. The fault is intermittent, meaning it has happened before but is not present at the moment. Because the module gets faulty information, the cooling from the A/C system may be irregular.
Possible causes
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground
- Defective evaporator temperature sensor
What you can do
- 1Check that the connector to the evaporator temperature sensor is firmly seated and clean
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable to the sensor has no contact with ground (the body)
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the evaporator temperature in live data while the A/C is on. The value should follow how the A/C system is running
- 4Clear the code and test drive the car with the A/C on. Note when the cooling becomes irregular
- 5If the wiring is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop replace the evaporator temperature sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- The cooling from the A/C system is uneven
What the fault can affect1
- The system uses a substitute value for the evaporator temperature
