What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module has found an fault inside the air distribution damper motor module (DMM). The flap bounces when it reaches its end position and does not go to the position the module requests. The fault can affect the ventilation blower and make the temperature uneven.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the air distribution damper motor module (DMM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the climate control fuses are intact
- 2Change the air mode on the panel and listen for whether the flap bounces when it reaches its position
- 3Clear the code and test drive the car to see whether the fault returns. An intermittent fault may disappear, so note when it happens
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: follow the air distribution flap position in live data while you change the air mode. The flap should move smoothly to each position
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the air distribution damper motor and calibrate it
