What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) has registered a fault in its own internal cabin temperature sensor, which sits inside the control module. The fault is permanent at the moment, and since the sensor sits inside the control module, it can only be checked to a limited extent. The sensor's ventilation holes may be blocked, but if they are clear the control module is likely to be defective.
Possible causes
- Faulty cabin temperature sensor built into the control module
What you can do
- 1Look at the vent openings for the cabin sensor in the control module panel and make sure dust, dirt or objects are not blocking them
- 2Carefully clear the holes if they are blocked, then road test the car to see whether the code returns
- 3If the holes are clear but the fault remains, the climate control module is probably defective
- 4Have a workshop read off and note the programmed values, then replace and program the climate control module
Symptoms you may notice2
- Irregular cold air from the A/C system
- The passenger compartment temperature does not match the set position
