CCM-B102E09 - Air Quality Sensor. General Failure Information. Component Failures
System
Climate Control Module (CCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) has found a fault in the air quality sensor (AQS), so the sensor is not working correctly. The sensor measures the air quality and is used by the climate control, for example to select recirculation when the outside air is poor. The fault lies in the sensor itself, so the control module cannot rely on its values.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the air quality sensor (AQS)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact, for example the fuse for the climate control module
- 2Road test the car and check the functions affected, such as air quality, climate and air conditioning, to see whether the fault is still present
- 3After these checks, read off and clear the fault code and see whether it returns
- 4Check that the air quality sensor connector is fully engaged and free from oxidation
- 5Replace the air quality sensor if it is damaged
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor air quality in the cabin
- Temperature control and air conditioning do not work
