VOLVO
CCM-B105A11 - Cabin Temperature Sensor Fan. General Electrical Failures. Circuit short to ground
System
Climate Control Module (CCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) registers that the fan blowing cabin air over the cabin temperature sensor sends too low a signal. The fan keeps the sensor free from nearby electronics. Cabin temperature may therefore differ from the setting.
Possible causes
- The fan is short-circuited to ground
- The voltage supply is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the climate system are intact
- 2Listen for whether the fan at the cabin sensor runs while the climate system is on
- 3Read and clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4Check that the fan wiring is not chafed against bodywork or metal
- 5Check with a multimeter that the fan wire has no contact with ground (the bodywork) when the connector is disconnected, and repair any chafing
Symptoms you may notice2
- Cabin temperature does not match the setting
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
