Show models by year and engine (4)
What does this fault code mean?
The signal from the fan blowing air over the cabin temperature sensor is too high. The climate control module (CCM) registers this and cannot confirm that the sensor gets the right airflow. The fault is an open circuit in the supply to the fan, or the supply is shorted to positive.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the supply line to the fan
- The voltage supply is short-circuited to positive
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the climate system are intact
- 2Listen for whether the fan at the cabin sensor runs while the climate system is on
- 3Read and clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4Check that the fan connectors are secure and not corroded
- 5Check with a multimeter that the fan supply wire is not open and has no short to positive when the connector is disconnected
Symptoms you may notice2
- Cabin temperature does not match the setting
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
