CCM-B105A96 - Cabin Temperature Sensor Fan. Component Failures. Component internal failure
System
Climate Control Module (CCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The fan blowing air over the cabin temperature sensor is blocked, binding, or without supply. The climate control module (CCM) judges the status of the fan from the frequency of an electrical signal, and temperature control and air conditioning may be affected.
Possible causes
- Blocked or binding fan or fan motor
- Open circuit in the voltage supply line
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the climate system are intact
- 2Check that the fan moves freely and does not bind when started
- 3Check that the fan connector is secure and not corroded
- 4Read and clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5With a diagnostic tool, activate the fan and listen for whether it starts; check its supply with a multimeter
Symptoms you may notice1
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
