What does this fault code mean?
The left temperature damper motor, or its control module, reports a fault to the climate control module (CCM). This can leave temperature control on the left side working poorly or not at all. If the fault remains, the cause is probably the component itself.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the left temperature damper motor
- Internal fault in the control module of the left temperature damper motor
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector to the damper motor is secure and not corroded
- 3Check that the temperature control gives a clear difference between warm and cold air on the left side
- 4If the fault remains, activate the damper motor with a diagnostic tool and listen for whether it moves; if not, have a workshop replace it
Symptoms you may notice1
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
