System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The recirculation damper motor has a fault according to the climate control module (CCM), and the fault may lie in the motor, in its control module or in the calibration. The temperature difference between the left and right sides may then become too large.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the recirculation damper motor
- Internal fault in the control module for the recirculation damper motor
- Incorrect calibration after loss of power
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector to the damper motor is secure and not corroded
- 3Compare the temperature on the left and right sides; if the difference is large, have a workshop calibrate the climate control module
- 4If the fault returns after calibration, have a workshop replace the recirculation damper motor
Symptoms you may notice1
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
