What does this fault code mean?
The defog damper motor has a fault according to the climate control module (CCM), and the fault may lie in the damper, its control module or the calibration. The damper does not reach the correct position because the number of steps between the end positions is wrong, which can affect defogging.
Possible causes
- Blocked damper
- Climate system calibrated at the wrong temperature
- Internal fault in the defog damper motor or its control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the damper motor sits correctly in place
- 2Check that the damper is not blocked or stuck, for example by a screw, a cable or a foam rubber gasket
- 3Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop calibrate the climate control module with diagnostic equipment
