What does this fault code mean?
The air distribution damper motor, which controls which vents the air blows out of, has a fault according to the climate control module (CCM). The fault may be in the motor, in its control module, or in the calibration after a loss of power. The airflow may then be wrong.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the air distribution damper motor
- Incorrect calibration after loss of power
- Internal fault in the control module for the air distribution damper motor
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Try the different air distribution settings with the control and feel whether the air comes out where it should
- 3Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4Check that the connector to the damper motor is secure and not corroded
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop calibrate the climate control module and check the damper motor
Symptoms you may notice2
- Airflow does not work as it should
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
