Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) has found that a component on LIN bus 1 has an incorrect configuration ID. This suggests the component is not intended for this particular car, for example a used control module with different software or hardware. Several functions for airflow, recirculation and seat heating may then be affected.
Possible causes
- Incorrect configuration ID, since the module is meant for another vehicle
What you can do
- 1Has anyone recently replaced a control module or damper motor in the car? If so, check that it is intended for this particular car
- 2Check that the damper motors sit in the correct positions for their specific IDs
- 3Check that the seat heating module (SHM) sits in the correct position
- 4Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5With a diagnostic tool, read the configuration of the connected modules; have a workshop replace any that do not suit the car
Symptoms you may notice5
- Airflow does not work as it should
- No recirculation of the air
- Temperature control is uneven
- Poor heating in the cabin
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
