What does this fault code mean?
The inside rear-view mirror has its own control module (IEC), which sends the status of its built-in functions to the climate control module (CCM). The fault means the mirror has an internal fault or does not work as it should. The mirror adjustment may then stop working.
Possible causes
- Wrong variant of mirror installed
- Mirror installed incorrectly
- Fault in the compass (option)
- Fault in the air moisture sensor
- Mirror is overheated
What you can do
- 1Check that the mirror connector is firmly seated and clean
- 2Check that the mirror is not overheated
- 3Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the mirror status in live data. If the fault remains, have a workshop check the mirror variant
