CCM-B1A6115 - Cabin Temperature Sensor. General Electrical Failures. Circuit short to battery or open
System
Climate Control Module (CCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The signal from the cabin temperature sensor is too high, according to the climate control module (CCM). The fault is caused by an open circuit in the signal wire between the sensor and the module, or by the wire being short-circuited to supply voltage. Cabin temperature may then differ from the setting.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire between the cabin temperature sensor and the climate control module
- The signal wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Look for visible damage on the cabin temperature sensor
- 2Check that the sensor connector and cable are secure and free from corrosion
- 3Check that the sensor cable is not chafed or pinched
- 4Check with a multimeter that the sensor signal wire is not open when the connector is disconnected
- 5If the code returns after clearing, have a workshop check the climate control module and replace the sensor if needed
Symptoms you may notice2
- Cabin temperature does not match the setting
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
