What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) loses contact with the air distribution damper motor on LIN bus 1, so it cannot control which vents the air blows out of. The fault code may appear together with fault codes for other components on the bus.
Possible causes
- Break in LIN bus 1 wiring between the module and the air distribution damper motor
- Poor contact, corrosion or loose connections at the connectors
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connectors to the damper motor and the climate control module are secure and clean
- 3Check with a multimeter that the LIN bus 1 wires are not open when the connectors are disconnected
- 4Try the different air distribution settings and see whether the airflow changes
- 5If the fault remains and the wiring is intact, have a workshop replace the air distribution damper motor
Symptoms you may notice2
- Mist on the windows and/or the outside mirrors
- Airflow does not work as it should
