What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) has no communication with the switch in the front tunnel console, which is connected via LIN bus 1. The buttons on that switch then do not work, and functions such as park assist and BLIS may stop. The fault code may appear together with other fault codes on the bus.
Possible causes
- Break in LIN bus 1 wiring between the module and the front tunnel console switch
- Poor contact, corrosion or loose connections at the connectors
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connector to the tunnel console switch is secure and clean
- 3Check with a multimeter that the LIN bus 1 wire to the switch is not open when the connectors are disconnected
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the switch status in live data while you press its buttons
- 5Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns

- Blind spot monitoring (BLIS) does not work
